Engineers Without Borders – USA is a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping communities in the developing world improve their quality of life through the implementation of environmentally and economically sustainable engineering projects that address basic needs of water, sanitation, shelter, and energy systems. By bridging the gap between those looking for help and those eager to help, EWB facilitates the completion of service projects that profoundly affect a community while developing socially and environmentally conscience engineering students though practical, hands on, international engineering experience. More information about our parent organization can be found on the EWB-USA website.

The University of Southern California Chapter of Engineers Without Borders is an entirely student managed organization. Founded in 2006, EWB-USC is the Viterbi School of Engineering’s only humanitarian organization. Our close-knit, dedicated member base is composed of Trojans hailing from a wide variety of disciplines ranging from biomedical to environmental engineering. All members of EWB-USC are volunteers who share a common vision of making a difference in the lives of the poor and enhancing engineering education at the University of Southern California.
